The 'Enraptured' DVD recording in Warsaw, Poland went very
well. Great production crew and organisation. The crowd was totally
into the show and it felt really good to have that kind of response
on such an important gig. We shot 16 songs and the preview version
looks very promising. We have also been digging deep in the GRAVE
archives for bonus material and
there is a lot to choose from, so we'll see what ends up in the
final release...

Death metal legions of the world rejoice! A new, massive masterpiece
by Sweden’s death metal cult-act GRAVE is coming your way.
Entitled “As Rapture Comes” the new recording shall enrapture
anyone who digs uncompromisingly extreme, heavy, groovy and gloomy
death metal.

Vocalist/guitarist Ola Lindgren comments the completion of the recording
as follows:
"The new album is finally completed. 9 tracks which can only
be described as the most aggressive, evil and brutal stuff we have
ever created both sound and song-wise. The album was recorded by ourselves
at Studio Soulless and the final mix was made in the Abyss Studio
with Peter Tägtgren. This one takes GRAVE into a new dimension
while still staying true to our legacy of brutal, heavy death metal."“
As Rapture Comes”, which was completed following GRAVE’s
successful European tour with label mates Cryptopsy and Aborted in
February, will hit stores in Europe on July 24th, 2006 and July 25,
2006 in the US. Be ready for another GRAVE-styled Swedish death metal
masterpiece, showcasing the band’s dynamic groove, more aggressive
feel than ever before and it also contains a heavy remake of the Alice
In Chains classic “Them Bones”.
The displayed cover artwork for “As Rapture Comes” was
designed by the Polish artist Jacek Wisnieswki, who hasn’t only
worked with GRAVE on the previous “Back From The Grave”
and “Fiendish Regression” albums, but who also created
great images for releases by bands such as Krisiun, Vader, Decapitated
and many more.
Here is the full track-listing information for the coming release:
GRAVE – “As Rapture Comes”
CD
1. Intro - Day Of Reckoning (0:49)

• New album finished !
After 3 weeks in Abyss studio the new album entitled FIENDISH REGRESSION is finally finished. 11 tracks were recorded including 9 brand new songs +
a cover version of Saint Vitus classic "Burial at sea" and a re-recording
of a old song named "Autopsied" which was originally written and recorded
for promotion in 1989.
The cooperation with Tommy and Peter Tägtgren really payed off and we are very satisfied with the result both song and soundwise.
To say that the songs are brutal would be an understatement.
The new blood of drummer Pelle Ekegren really shows through the whole album. Fast, heavy and brutal is the only way to describe it.
European release through Century Media rec's is planned to late August.

• European tour cancelled
The european tour that was planned for March and April 2003 has been cancelled due to problems with the bookings and scheduling of the tour. With only 3 weeks to go before the start of the tour we had not recieved what was agreed upon in terms of booked and confirmed shows. We feel that in such a situation we will rather wait until we can go on a full european tour and play for all of YOU rather than just a few selected countries and shows. We want YOU to know that Grave really wants to and will tour as soon as we get the opportunity to do a successful tour.

• US tour confirmed

• Original drummer leaves the band
Jensa Paulsson, one of the original founders of Grave has now officially left the band due to work and family related issues. Chris (Cristofer Barkensjö) from Swedish deathmetal mates Kaamos will replace him permanently. Chris will still continue his duties in Kaamos as before. Chris is an excellent drummer and has been a friend of ours for a long time so we are very happy to welcome him in the band. Hes played 2 shows with the band already, in Åbo Finland and Gothenburg Sweden, filling the chair for Jensa. His first appearance as a member of Grave will be at the March Metal Meltdown in New Jersey. We also would like to thank Jensa for all the good years and good times and wish him the best of luck in the future.

• Update
The releaseparty went really well. We managed to get a lot of our friends veeeery drunk. Portal and The Forsaken did great shows. We decided to do something special for this show so we all dressed up as on the photos of Back from the grave and we also consumed loads of blood. Photos from the show will be upped soon. Tons of interviews for the new album the past weeks. The response has been very satisfying since the majority of the press and radiostations like the new stuff and will give it very good reviews. Releasedate for the US set to January 28:th 2003. A full US tour is planned to start in the early spring of 2003. The European tour that was planned for November/December had to be pushed forward and will probably start in mid January.

• New album completed
The new GRAVE album was completed this week in Stockholm. It was recorded in Sunlight Studio like all of our previous albums. The mastering was also done here in Stockholm at Polar Studios. Century Media has scheduled the release to October. I will post some samples of a couple of new tracks for you to download shortly. • New release date
The release of the new GRAVE album
- Back from the Grave - has been moved forward due to the bands European tour which ended the 2:nd of June. The album was not completed as scheduled before the tour started and therefor the release will be in September instead of June which was the original plan. 9 songs are recorded and the mixing/mastering will be done in late June.

• Recording
At March 3:rd GRAVE entered the studio to record their fifth full lenght studio album. The place to do it is of course once again the Sunlight Studio in Stockholm. Tomas Skogsberg is as usual taking care of engineering and producing the band. Nine tracks has been laid down and is currently in the works to be finalized within the next couple of weeks. The album will be entitled BACK FROM THE GRAVE
Added March 23 2002 |

• New songs finished
After the successful reuniongig at Machine Bar in Stockholm the band followed up with another live show in Gävle-Sweden at Club Wasteland. That show also went very well and got good response from the fans and magazines. The past months has mainly been rehearsals and writing new material. Up until now there are 8 new songs finished and a couple more in progress. The band will enter the studio in mid February. Once again the Sunlight studio will be used together with Tomas Skogsberg as producer. The new album has the working title - Back from the grave - which also is one of the new tracks. It will be released in June by Century Media records. I would describe the material as very hard and heavy. It picks up and continues where the Soulless album left off. Brutal stuff indeed, I promise...

• First gig with new lineup
To keep you up to date here is a quick flashback. About two years ago we got a new bassplayer in the band. Freddan Isaksson has played in various Stockholm bands, most known would be Therion. The old bassplayer Jonas Torndal has joined the band again and now plays second guitar. 4 new songs are written and will be recorded this fall and possibly released. In the meantime we concentrate on writing more new stuff and do some gigs in Sweden (or anywhere else if you hook us up). At the 14:th of September GRAVE played a show at Machine Bar, a club located at the Hard Rock cafe in Stockholm and got a massive response. It was the first live show in a lot of years and the first ever with the new lineup.
